Listen Live: Joshua Wright Nomination Hearing

A live webcast of today’s confirmation hearing of Joshua Wright as a Federal Trade Commissioner can be found here.

The hearing begins at 2:30 pm, and Wright is scheduled to go fourth on a panel of nominees for various Executive appointments.

As previously discussed on this blog, Wright has assured staff of the Senate Commerce Committee that he will recuse himself from any FTC matters involving Google for 2 years if confirmed, to avoid any conflict of interest due to statements he made about the rumored antitrust investigation into Google prior to his nomination.

The Senate Commerce Committee is chaired by Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX) as Ranking Member.
